[MRCA] Moose and Squirrel Saturday Nov 12 net =field report

Dear Group, 



The propagation was not so favorable to go from Michigan out to the East Coast. 

Radio Station WD8AXA/WD8AXB operated portable in Chuck AXA's back yard with a 60 meter dipole connected 

to AXA's PRC-132 set to 20 watts. AXB's Vertex VX-1210 was the backup rig. 



The PRC-132 made contact with the KB3 station near Pittsburg PA and the KC8 station near (Cleveland?) OH. 

We did copy a "mobile" with a "2" in the callsign, and we heard weak stations in the background. 



We had a picnic lunch and we had a campfire going. The sun was out and the temperature soared to 60 degrees. 

We did other ham antenna maintenance and worked on a Spillsbury HF packset. 



It was a beautiful November day to be outside.
