12:00 Noon local: AM Military Radio Net. Frequency will be 3885 kHz
AM. Open to all radios that can hit 3885 AM but the focus is on military
types of any vintage. The radio Joe uses is always the best-kept secret
in the known Universe because even he doesn't know what it is until Monday
or Tuesday night of Dayton week! But you can bet it will be unusual. After
all check-ins are taken, meet back at Joe's space 3415 for pictures and the
usual swapping-of-lies and hob-nobbing. Net Control: Joe WA4VAG.
1:15 local: HFpack Eyeball QSO. Frequency will be 18157.5 kHz USB.
Open to all radios that can hit that freek, but the focus here will
be on pedestrian mobile (/PM) setups of all varieties. After all
check-ins are taken, meet up near the Hara Arena awning just
outside the southwest gate. Every year I ask everybody not to bunch
up there and and de-sense each other until after the net closes, but it
doesn't do any good so I won't mention it. :) Net out-of-Control: Mark KI0PF.
2:30 local: Cold War Net. Frequency will be 51.0 Mhz FM. Open to all
radios that will hit that freek and mode, but the focus is always on
military FM sets of all types from the Cold War period from the
conclusion of WW2 to when the Soviet Union split up. Wideband, narrow-band,
K9WT will hear you. After the net, meet up at Joe's space 3415 for pix and
a wrap-up. Net Control: John K9WT.
