[MRCA] anyone play with this clansman 6 meter base antenna?

I have no idea what the military designation of this antenna is, so I am
providing a link to some information on it.

Anyone have experience with this? Anyone understand the topology of this
antenna? I get the base is a ground plane which sounds very good. And I see
a thicker mast in the middle. But what of the other legs and the wiring on
the top between the legs and center piece? What is the story on this? Anyone
know the radiation pattern? Is it NVIS? Take off angle? Any info?

 

In the field, anyone have any results to report compared to other antennae?
