Conditions were very good today. 100% copy on all transmissions (even KW1I out in Pittsburgh, PA) from our portable station at Cuspogue Beach, NY. Cupsogue Beach is located just east of Moriches Inlet on one of the barrier islands that run south of Long Island.
We ran a PRC1099A putting 20W into a clansman dipole in an inverted V configuration. Center of the dipole was approximately 22 feet above ground supported by a guyed mast comprised of fibereglass sections typically used to support camo netting. Ends of dipole were approximately 8 feet above ground. Photos of our "almost feet wet" operation can be seen here:

I was able to hang around to check copy on all stations, band was in very good shape. and copied all stations.
Copied both "Patrol stations" KW1I and K2AJR who was all most "feet wet".
