[MRCA] ARB tuning shaft wanted

I'm still trying to find a tuning shaft assy for my ARB.  Any length 
will be fine, even junker with problems.  The ARB uses the larger of the 
two types of flex cables.  I'm not certain, but maybe standard speedo or 
tach shafts with the 5/8" couplings might be usable by splicing 
reclaimed spline drive ends on to the inner shaft?  Has anyone ever 
tried this?  It looks like 5/8" is the correct diameter/
