[MRCA] Fw: [Milsurplus] PRC-6 Battery Box

I went the battery adapter route because for what batteries cost I felt it was cheaper to get the adapter and a rechargeable lantern battery. I've been looking to combine the whole setup into a single package that looks just like the original battery but haven't had the time. I got the adapter with the intention of reverse engineering it but the guy that makes them encases them in a solid material that makes it impossible to disassemble :(

There is also a guy on ebay that sells the tubes pretty cheap. Out of all that I've bought though not one has had a bad tube.

Eugene:
Yes, they are available - from another PRC-6! I think I have six -6's
and a couple of chassis so I can canibalize a few to get one or two good
ones. Probably not a bad idea for most milrads - get a spare for parts,
especially the tubes.
As Mike wrote, you can align these things pretty easily with a VOM and
screwdriver. You'll need the manual for the process.
