[MRCA] Command Receiver Dials

All,

  I recently acquired a BC-453 (190-550 kc) and a BC-946 (520-1500 kc) in a
three receiver rack. Just one small problem, they were spray painted silver.
I mean everything was painted silver; rack, connectors, dynamotors, knobs
and even the dials.

Now, I can probably strip the paint from the outside of the radios and
rack and clean-up the connectors but I don't think there is any hope for the
dials. They appear to have originally been painted and silk screened. I
can't think of anything that would remove the silver paint and not remove
the dial markings.

If any of you have an idea of how to save the dials, I am listening.
Otherwise, does anyone have a dial from a parts rig for these radios?

Thanks,

            Bill KA8WTK
