The annual East Coast Rally (Military Vehicle and Flea Market) will be this
week at Aberdeen Maryland. I will be present and be operating on the
Standard pushes of 3570 CW(slow), 3885 voice(fast) and 51.0 wide band FM(If
I can keep the PRC-10 on frequency). In addition I will guard on occasion
5371.5(ch 4) and 144.250. This is a great event and emphasizes the growing
bond between military vehicle and military radio groups.
Please stop by and say hello, look for the AT-1011 32 foot whip. This year
we will look forward to seeing what strange, rare, exotic, and foreign
radio(Russki?) Tom Bryan N3AJA will bring, and we will certainly expect the
"Phantom of Smyrna" W3OWE to show up with more NOS equipment along with his
partner Ole Buzzard Rich W2OBR.Intel advises that Rich has a newly
outfitted commo truck(ambulance?) We do know that Pat KC2RNN will be AWOL
and has a new mission, he was recently issued 1 ea. Grandson.Intel also
advises that there is a rumor that Jeff KG2BZ will actually bring a Army
Fire Truck or perhaps two?? We will be sure and look for Dave K3BLT and his
usually 3 or 4
tables of gear?------ Will Joe W3KJT arrive early and scoff up all the WWII
stuff? Will Chuck WD8AVA be there as Chief Technical Advisor? and,- - - -
will Al Klase N3FRQ actually obtain a visa, cross the river, navigate West
ward and make the trek from New Jersey? Stay tuned for more.
Pictures and comments of last years rally (2009) are posted at:
