[MRCA] Harris RF-5020 acquisition

Hey guys. Just wanted to check in.

 

Got my new Harris RF-5000 radio. Sure is NEAT! Very ham friendly believe it
or not. I have the 5020. The later model, 5022 is apparently much less ham
friendly. This one practically has a vfo in that you can set the step as low
as 10Hz and just sit on the up/down buttons and it steps through nicely!

 

Radio includes 5020/5031 (125W amp)/shock mounts as well as the dash mount
for the control head and 30' control cable.  In addition, this 5020 has the
real MIL ALE (not autolink) card which is supposed to be very rare. Here are

Unit also came with the 12-24V dc-dc converter plus cables. All cables for
the system. I plan to mount the radio in my Landcruiser:

Today, I tried the radio. But my power supply didn't have enough juice to
run it past 10W. Even still, had a QSO to new jersey!
