Perry & the rest of the group -
Well, now I have to come clean. A couple of weeks ago I came to my senses
and decided not to buy the school. Almost every time I checked on the
weather it was like -15F or -17F. This morning it was -15F in Marenisco
Michigan. The town manager told me that when the school was in operation it
cost $20K/month to heat the place. Also, everything, grocery store,
hospital, doctors were all 30 miles away. Initially having that 30,000
square feet and numerous rooms really appealed to me. I even placed a down
payment on the place and last weekend my sons and my son in law were going
to go up there to check it out. I came to my senses a week before we were
going to fly up there. The maintenance would be something else also. I even
talked to several hams up there. The idea still appeals to me, however I
would like to retire in a warmer climate and not be a total recluse.
Perry - that was not "tongue in check - I meant it. BTW the transmitter
receiver in a crate that I got from you was unfortunately pretty much
damaged when my basement flooded. It was on of my favorite sets. 73 - Mike

That is why I always like you Perry - you are truly a gentlemen.
Mike... that must be a "tongue-in-cheek" response. :-)
But Rob's daily routine is in the late 1800's, for sure.
BTW, did I read that you bought a property filled with BA's
in Upper Mich?
If so, when you travel up there maybe I can take a peek in
your loaded 18-wheeler as you go by...?
You're a pro, too, OM...
