Seriously, that was not only the simplest solution, it was also the 
cheapest!!! Also it was the quickest to implement.

Way to go Mr. Francis.....well done.

Not only that, Mark, you got Ms. Gibbons to go along with the idea which 
means its a sure winner.

Thanks to all involved....my U-229 audio connectors are now all sans 
O-rings.

| I've been operating gear with NATO U-183/U-229 connectors
| for a long time now, and the first thing I do before
| using an audio accessory for the first time is pull the
| o-ring on the U-229 altogether and pitch it in an envelope
| with all my OTHER o-rings.
