Gents:

In case any of you might be interested, these are the surplus fiberglass poles I used to support the center of my NVIS antenna for the fieldexes at Gilbert this year: http://cgi.ebay.com/12-Surplus-Fiberglass-poles-antenna-mast-support-tent_W0QQitemZ270168856535QQihZ017QQcategoryZ588QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem .

I also had aluminum tent stakes in the pack: http://cgi.ebay.com/MILITARY-SURPLUS-TENT-STAKES-VERY-NICE-CONDITION-6-EACH_W0QQitemZ190154709534QQihZ009QQcategoryZ36120QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem .

And finally, I used plastic chain link, available from Home Despot and Loathes, as end insulators on each of the inverted-Vee legs. This yellow chain is available near the steel chain link drums in either of these stores. With this material you need not worry about smashing delicate porcelain insulators when the wire is stored on the reel, and it winds up quite nicely on the storage reels.
