Breck,  I have to tell you that "/They/" have borrowed it or them 
(depending).  /They/ oft times borrow things for uses and purposes that 
are not revealed to us in this dimension.  It may be tools, small parts, 
wallets, keys, anything that you might need, at the moment.  Note that 
I've said /They/ only borrow.... inasmuch as 99% of the time /They/ give 
things back.  You may, or may not, find the item or items in the same 
place you thought they were at last glance, but they will reappear.  
Now, some of /Them /are not nice and never return things borrowed but 
this is rare, as I'm sure you'll confirm.  So, fear not... wait /Them/ 
out....
