[MRCA] Screw Problem

    Is there anyone on the list that can explain why I can remove  12 screws 
from a military radio---- put the screws all together in a neat little pile 
on the bench then  repair the radio ------ and then when I go to put the 
cover and the 12 screws back on the set there is always one screw missing. 
How does the screw disappear?           Where does it go?          Will it 
come back?              Or is it gone forever to screw land?
