Ray,
The manual doesn't specifically say whether the primary is the top or the
bottom coil. In the BC-611-F, it is the top one. There might be some logic in
making that the standard way in which to do it, and it would make the secondary
leads the shorter ones. But that's only a guess. In any case, inside of the
can you should find a 1/4" diameter phenolic tube with two pie-type windings
on it, one above the other. Probably there will be four solder terminals.
There will be a square phenolic plate at the bottom of the tube and probably one
at the top. The terminals are probably mounted on these plates
