[MRCA] SCR-178/179 Query

Gents,  All your comments are duly noted.   I checked the 1943 Signal 
Corps catalog and both units were depicted, repleat with a 
beast-of-burden.  I also saw the 1938 Fords (?) in the background of one 
of the pictures.  This stuff is quite obviously pre-conflict equipment.  
The operating console would not be hard to reasonably duplicate as I've 
already built ones for the SCR-188 and '193.  The chest and generator 
are another story, of course.  Guess I'll mull the issue over some 
more.  If Lowe's has some of the nice, pre-finished plywood on hand, I 
may I'll pick up a sheet and have a try at what I see in the TM.  We'll 
see..........  Again, though, I appreciate all the comments and insights
