[MRCA] Info on Motorola AN/URC-40 Needed

Well, the Chattanooga Hamfest was small, but good to me.

I located a set I have never seen before and for which there is  
little on the Internet - Motorola AN/URC-40.

I do know that it is a SSB set covering at least the VHF range around  
2 meters and probably more. It is part of Communication System AN/ 
USC-3(V) which was a synchronous, multiplexed, single sideband radio  
system capable of transmitting and receiving voice, facsimile, and  
teletypewriter signals on twelve separate radio channels at ranges of  
greater than 10 miles. It was to be used by artillery units, though I  
don't think it was ever fielded. Mine has a serial number in the  
100s. Circa 1960s.
