Yes, but it is one of the options unfortunately available in the list server 
software used by QTH.net when the first list moderator sets up a new list.  
And I had one list moderator claim that it was the only proper way to set up a 
list.  It was supposed to ensure that everyone got to see all of the 
interesting replies.  But it's very much the exception to the way in which most lists 
are set up both on and off QTH.net.  And I've seen some very embarassing posts 
made because of it.  Infinitely worse than my comment to Rich.  :-)

Anyway, if the current list moderator would consider doing it, it is possible 
to fix the original setup error.
