I've never seen your B-25, but I did have the pleasure of climbing
aboard a B-25J at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, in Hamilton,
Ontario (Canada). I believe that, for the right price, they'll take you
up on a flight. According to Wikipedia, there are only 15 surviving
B-25s, including 9 B-25Js (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B-25_Mitchell).
It would seem a very worthwhile cause to save this important part of
history, especially given how few there are left.

I became involved with a flying WWII B-25J Mitchell Bomber, the
"Heavenly Body", some of you might haven even seen her at Van Nuys, CA
or at an air show. For those of you that don't know, the aircraft itself
is basically a flying museum and has been restored to nearly 95% of its
original WWII military configuration. I took to restoring the old
communications gear inside as I have a deep interest in military radio
gear and aircraft. As of today I've managed to restore the BC-348
receiver and we're moving to get the BC-375 up and running with the
trailing antenna. It's really something to see and hear the receiver
operating just as it did over 60 years ago and see WWII radio vets that
actually flew in them get to work the controls again.
I believe it's the only one like it in the world, really.

Unfortunately this piece of history risks being pushed aside at a
minimum and at the extreme, might be lost to future generations to
experience.

I probably would risk being banned from the list for doing this, but I'd
like to put a link to a petition for people interested to sign.
Are there objections to this? You can also contact me directly for the
links which might be better.

Ps. As a side note we also have Half-track with a quad mount that's
something else, but no radio yet.
