Hi Gang:

I was planning on doing FD with Larry Wolfgang, WR1B, and his wife, Jean,
WB3IOS, from Gordon, PA. My contribution would have been a PRC-64 and a
TRC-77A for the CW stations.

Unfortunately, my daughter and her family just arrived from Fortress Meade
for the weekend, so I will be doing FD from home this year.

During FD this year I will be using the PRC-64 and the TRC-77A for CW and
the PRC-74B for SSB. The two CW rigs are, of course, crystal controlled, so
if you hear a chirpy CW signal on 3560, 3565, 3570, 7030, 7040 and/or 7050,
that will probably be me and my trusty green radios.

The callsign I will be using is our local QRP club call: K3OSS and the
antennas will be a Cobra 80-10 Meter dipole at 45 feet and a TH-7DX at 55
feet for SSB on 20 Meters.

I'm looking forward to having the chance to work some of you using the green
radios. Just remember I am xtal controlled so tune carefully.

Vy 73,

Rich Arland, W3OSS

"You see, wire telegraph is kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail
in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angles. Do you understand this?
And radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they receive
them there. The only difference is that there is no cat."
