[MRCA] OT: Mac computer question

Hi Dennis:
Well, my daughter has been bugging me to "Go Mac", so I invested in a couple
of books on Mac Upgrade & Repair and Macworld Mac Secrets today. I just went
on e-bay and picked up a G3 (blue) 350 MHz Proc, 192 MB RAM, etc. I guess I
am going to need some "hand holding" when this thing arrives. It has OS-X
(tiger) installed along with a CD drive. I paid $45 for it used plus $38
shipping/handling. I guess I got a good deal..
I want to use Adobe Photoshop CS2 on this machine and use it just for
photography.
Am I on the right track? In order to get on the internet and do e-mail, etc,
what else do I have to have onboard the iMac G3? Currently I am using an HP
laptop into a Verizon DSL. Can I configure the G3 to do this, also?
Sorry for all the screwy questions. I am kinda new to this Mac stuff.
