This is correct, as I mentioned TM-11-5985-379-14&P is based upon using the 
PRC-47 as is.
The tuning of the PRC-47 can be rather touchy on 80 meters which is to be 
expected because of the short length of the antenna wire elements.

I am sure the group would be interested in other comments , has anyone done 
any real testing of the AS-2259 system?
