Members,
I am going out to the Los Angeles area tonight and will be there for the
weekend! Are there any good military museums, Army Surplus stores,
militaria shops and or any members in the are that have any mil radio
demonstrations planned?

Subject: Mini -MRCA Meet

Al,

My schedule still looks good for a Saturday afternoon arrival at the
Mini-MRCA meet.
Am bringing overnight sleeping gear. Have gottern my New Jersey visa
approved for Saturday entry and Sunday departure and have been working
on
my New Jersey language skills. Should I bring a lantern for the "SLS"
activity?

Is there anything you need?

Basic Joisey speak (fill in the blank): I GOT YOUR
_______ RIGHT HERE!
Grabbing your schwanse while saying this is optional.

Anyway, good news. Bring the lantern and DEET.
(We'll have 120VAC
though.) The military history guys are coughing up
a tent and some camo
nets and a vehicle or two. I suspect we may try
operating into the
night. There's a 100-foot doublet feed by 450 twin
lead over the museum.

Rich Arland threaten to try to contact us while on
a trip to Maryland.
My GRC-109 seems to be working: 9 watts, CW,
crystal controlled. Bring
you favorite FT-243's. My morse sux. We should
have internet on site so
perhaps we can gin up scheds in real time via email.

Flory won't arrive until later in the evening. I'm
still trying to
figure out if I want to burn steaks. What do you
think?

I should arrive on site 15:00-16:00. I'll have my
cellphone on:
908-892-5465.

73,
Al

If you haven't already published some sked times and frequencies, lay a
few
out. Early evening should have pretty good 80 meter CW possibilities
between NH and NJ.
