[MRCA] Field exercise

Hi Radiomen,

I just returned from a weekend at Montauk, NY.  Though I unfortunately had no radios along, I still had radio on the mind.  

I think it would be cool to set up field set(s) on the beach at Montauk, and try to work The fellows in Jamestown(W2ILA,W1NZR) and Fall River(N1EPL).  It is a 43 mile path over water to Jamestown.  I think it could be done on groundwave with a TBX.  

Good side visits to AN/FPS-37 RADAR site and coastal artillery batteries very close.  Further afield there is sacred ground to be touched at Riverhead and Rocky Point.

Anyone else think this would be fun?

The John Brown transit of Buzzards Bay is still scheduled to happen, but I have not heard from them about any communications plans.
