Let me second Rob's remarks. Over the last six years I have come to look
forward to the MRCA Meet each year with more enthusiasm than Dayton, MURGAS,
Timonium, etc. combined!!!

My brief presentation on "Resources" cannot be overstated. THANK YOU...all
of you...you folks make transitioning from "normal" ham radio into the
MilCom Arena a very easy and positive experience. You guys (and gals) are
the biggest "resource" that newbies like Gunny Rake, N3PBL, and myself have
access to when starting into this hobby. Thanks again, to all my "Military
Elmers". You folks are the greatest.

A special "Thank You" to Breck, K4CHE, for taking the lead and getting my
ailing GRC-9 up and running. Breck is one amazing dude (haircut
aside)...(Actually, Breck, I'm jealous....you actually have hair....) Enjoy
your two cases of Coke, Pal, you certainly earned them!!

I was very glad to see Al Klase, N3FRP, there this year, especially in light
of his recent injuries. Glad you were up to making the pilgrimage,
Pard....It wouldn't be a MRCA Meet without you! Get well...and stay off the
friggin' ladders!

Now, about Rob Flory, K2WI.....I have finally met someone who is just about
as "throwed-off" as I am! I never knew Rob was THAT funny (but looks aren't
everything...!) Seriously folks, Rob is a hoot. Put him together with Breck
and stand back!! Don't ever grow up, guys...I won't have anybody to play
with!

It was great to see everyone again: Ted, Gene, Ray, Dale, et al. You all
give me inspiration. Thanks guys. (Doesn't Ted look great on the cover of
ER? Good job, Ted).

I now have a prioritized list of projects to keep me busy. First project is
to get the DY-105 dyno supply for the Angry Nine working so I can get that
rig on the air. Second priority is to get the two PRC-6s and my PRC-10
batteried up and aligned. I'm not sure which of the two major restorals to
undertake first: the WS-19 or the BC-312. Speaking of WS-19s, I was happy to
see Mike Michaels, W3TS, there along with his buddy Paul. They picked up an
absolutely pristine WS-19 with the dyno on the mount with headset/mic,
dogbones, etc for $125!!! I mean this thing was so clean you could eat off
of it!!! I told them that "Jessie James used a gun and a mask!" What a find
for $125!

The presentations and the collection of gear was, as usual, amazing! Thanks
to all who came and brought their gear. It gives those of us just starting
out something to shoot for.

73 all and I am already planning for next year.
