Finally!! The TRC-77A I got from that auction place arrived, extremely well packed, I might add. This unit is absolutely mint condition....I mean, not a scratch, rub mark, ding, dent, no paint chips or gouges, it is perfect! The radio set still has the protective plastic on the handles. What a beautiful example of a TRC-77. This is the "A" model even though the ID tag says "RT-645A TRC-77"

This thing came from Doug Nymon in St. Paul, MN. His pack job was unbelievable! I don't think anything short of an act of God would have hurt this puppy during transit. If you ever have a chance to buy from him it will be a pleasurable experience. Great communications, insured the package for transit without being asked, packed it like a pro....his description on line of the gear was very detailed. This guy is first rate.

At any rate, I now have a decision....do I rock it up and put it on the air or just set it on the shelf and look at it and use my old dinged up 77A? Hmmmm.....nah...can't let it sit around....gonna swap xtals tomorrow and get this beauty on the air.

The other RT-70 and AM-65 also came in tonight in good shape. Got a bag full of mics and cables/connectors, unfortunately, none look to be useable with this radio set. However, the night is still young. Picked up the dog-bone power cable from Fair Radio. Now all I have to do is figure out how to get the audio in and out of the thing. The PSU module is set up for 24VDC and the switch on the inside of the AM-65 is properly set for 24V operation. Six meters here I come!!

Couple all this with the 1944 Vibroplex Bug I picked up to top off the MilCom station, and it has been a pretty good three weeks! Anyone have a 12V PSU module for an AM-65 they want to off load? How about another AM-65 for my 2nd RT-70? If so, please contact me off-list.
