Hi Rog:

Sorry about not getting back to you sooner. Sounds like you got quite a list
of stuff you are going to accomplish in 2006.

My list reads like this:

1. Get more xtals for the TRC-77A & mate up a W3NQN 88mh torid filter to the
audio output. I am having a lot of difficulty with the broad IF in the 77A.
Now I hear about 3-5 Qs going on simultaneously!

2. Get one more PRC-10 (have 2 already. One in good shape and one for parts)
and put two of them on the air on 51.0 mc. Building a couple of power
supplies should be fun!

3. Get both of my PRC-6s up and running. They both play but I have to build
battery supplies up and tune them for 51.0 mc

4. Clean up and align my GRR-5. It works great but looks a little ragged.

5. Repaint the TRC-77A and build up a wooden battery box for it.

6. Restore a Halli SR-32A for 2 & 6 M AM work.

7. Repaint and re-letter W3NQN's old National NC-57 (already did the
electrical restoration).

8. Troubleshoot my GRC-9 (RX ok but TX no workie) and procure a DY-88 or
DY-105 dyno supply (I doubt I will ever find the 110V AC supply for this
radio).

I will be undergoing my 2nd foot surgery in March. That will put me off my
feet for about 6-8 weeks. I will also be off work for that long. I am being
pushed toward retirement by my wife, Tricia (KB3MCT) who thinks its about
time for me to pack it in at the prison where I work. That would be great in
one way...lots of time to play radio, but I'd really miss the money!!
Besides, I have a fun job...I teach VoEd electronics, play radio most days
and have a ball. My students are eager to learn and I have plenty of war
stories.

Hey,. keep in touch. I am going to print this list off just so I can have it
for reference and to chart progress. If I get half these projects done this
year I will be in fine shape.
