Dunno about Terminator 3, but Marti Electronics,
of Cleburne, Texas, was a major old-time supplier of
broadcast remote-pickup transmitters and receivers
and of studio-to-transmitter links. They had no
particular Civil Defense connotation - were more
commonly used to broadcast high-school football
games, etc - but could obviously have been used to
feed emergency programming from a CD operations
center to radio stations.
