Hi Roger:
Social Insecurity in 7 years. With the DoC, I am able to retire at age 50 (I
will just turn 60 in March) since I am considered a "contact personnel" by
DoC standards. That makes things nice. I will take a beating on my
retireement package but it will be enough, if I quit buying radios!!
Regarding the PRC-6 batteries, I am exploring a couple of ideas. One
consists of using two 45 volt batteries to get the HV and B+, and use 3 "AA"
cells for bias and four "C" cells for filaments. I will let you know how tht
works out.
