Al -

Congratulations. That is a nice little set. I have one also and had it for a
long time. So far I have never attempted to put power on it. Way too many
projects. I believe you made a small typo as it is like the PRC-64 and not
PRC-54. I believe soon I will have an open house sale of most of my radio
stuff. My interests are changing and I just have way too much. Any
suggestions? - 73 - Mike

Subject: [MRCA] Need Delco 5300 Help

Hi Guys,

Picked up a Delco 5300 (similar PRC-54) at the Kutztown swap meet
yesterday. Eventually I'd like to get it on the air. Who's the expert?

So far I need :

        * Battery connector, 4-pin female, e.g. salvaged from a BA-48.
        * Type 331 pilot lights, the 1.4V 60mA ones, for the
indicators. Could also use the proper bulb holders, but I
          have some that fit OK.
        * Info on the proper mic.
        * Suggestions regarding crystals. I'm not going to go crazy on
this 'til I get the set working. Can probably get by with the
FT-234's from my BC-611 for the moment.

Amy help appreciated.

See you at Gilbert?

Al
