Gang:

Before I offer this thing on e-bay I decided to showcase it here. I have for sale or trade:

GRC-109 Set consisting of:

One (1) R-1004 Receiver (3-24 MC) s/n 537
One (1) RT-3 Transmitter (3-30 MC) no s/n visible (This TX is NOT the Army version with the burst transmission jack on the front panel)
One (1) PP-2684 BIG Power Supply (75-250VAC) 6VDC, plus Generator input.

I have just checked out this station and it is working fine. Power output is around 12-15 watts. Receiver is sensitive and I listened to both CW on 40M and some Int'l SW Bcst stations on 49M. Cosmetics are very good. There are some scuff marks on the case exteriors. Also, there are some worn lettering on both the TX and RX front panels. The s/n for the TX has been rubbed off. Somewhere I have a partial manual and will include it if I can locate same. Manuals are available on line or via Fair Radio (which is where I got mine).

What I am looking for in trade is a Wireless No. 19 Set in good working and cosmetic order. This would be a straight across trade, no added cash on either end.

Lacking a Wireless No. 19 Set, I'll take $300 plus shipping. Shipping will be via two boxes: one for the PSU (24 pounds) and the other for the TX/RX (16 pounds together). Add an additional 5 pounds for each box for packing material etc. Buyer will pay ONLY the actual shipping costs, no "handling charges" or "packing charges". I prefer to use FedEx for two reasons; 1/ FedEX is about 35-40% cheaper than UPS. 2/ A few years ago UPS took 2MHz of our 220 MHz band (given to them by the FCC) for package/vehicle tracking. They never used it and we never got it back, so screw 'em!

If you are interested please contact me off-list and we'll set up the deal. If no interest is show by 0001Z 22 Jan 2005, I will put this station up for auction on e-bay. (I really don't want to do that since I'd rather see this station go to someone in our group that will give it a good home, use it and enjoy the experience of owning a piece of communications history.)
