[MRCA] Military Radio No Meet?

Excellent suggestion to provide talk-in. Fortunately, I had N3NNG's phone
number, and found out before getting too far that the area was flooded. But
I don't think Steve would want everyone calling him on his phone. A talk-in
frequency on 2 meters would be helpful for directions and info once
close-in, and most hams will have 2m capabilities. But an 80m or 6m talk-in
channel would be helpful as well, if you can get a multi station set up and
someone to man it.
I spared myself a two-hour ride from South Jersey. Glad I didn't have to
travel from KS!

Pete Greene, N2LVI

Roger:
Some of us managed to work our way in to the Fairgrounds. True, it was
very wet in some spots, but definitely not under water. However, some of
the approach roads flooded as Saturday morning wore on. I had intended to
leave the site via Rt 33, which is north on Rt 209. But the cops had 209
blocked northbound just a block away from the fairgrounds.
To the MRCA membership:
Maybe we ought to provide a talk-in channel next year. I had initially
thought about suggesting 3.885 or 51.0, but realized most newcomers/buyers
might not have these capabilities until they LEAVE the fairgrounds. Any
comments or suggestions?
