Hi Gang:

My thanks to all who replied. Man, there are some REALLY "up to speed" people on this list!! Soon I hope to be one of them....at least where the GRC-9 is concerned. 

I have downloaded a copy of the manual from the Wireless NO. 19 site and have it run off, now if I can just find my reading glasses..... 

My original plan was to get the 24V Dyno supply from Fair (along with the cable (and additional $40) just to have a way to power the set AND a working cable! Presently I am constructing a 12A 24V conventional psu to feed the Dyno supply. As I told Al in an off-line e-mail, the Dyno supply would also allow me to run this rig in the bush using two 12V batteries. That way I could participate in the field exercises next year at the MRCA festivities. 

Again, thanks for all the help. Simce I'm the "FNG" you'll be hearing more from me, I'm sure. Be patient....I am an old USAF re-tread who's just making the jump to green radios!
