[MRCA] Power cord

List members, especially you Navy types,

What use is a power cord Navy, Gray on a spool with a 1/2 " diameter
hole through the length of the rod. S65-7429-C, TYPE IC/TCR, LST. Two =
strands of wire, one black, one white, 25 to 75? feet. They end in cases =
the size and shape of a
D size battery, black plastic with the word STAR. Someone had scrapped a
little of the gray paint off to expose solid brass.
I bought it planning to cut the ends and use it to connect my TA-312/PT
Telephone Sets.
It was shelved next to a Navy Search Light. Could it be the power cord =
for
that?
