MRCG SEVENTH ANNUAL MEET

The seventh annual meeting of the Military Radio Collectors Group (MRCG) wil=
l=20

be hosted by the Fort MacArthur Military Museum, San Pedro, CA, on Friday an=
d=20

Saturday, 3 and 4 May 2002.   This year=E2=80=99s event  will be designated=20=
as  the=20

KD6KWH  Memorial Meeting in memory of the late Henry Engstrom. San Pedro is=20

located on the south side of Los Angeles adjacent to the Los Angeles Harbor.=
 =20

The Museum is situated in Angles Gate Park near the ocean at Pt. Fermin. For=
=20

=20

The theme of this year=E2=80=99s meeting will be equipment operation, and to=
 this end=20

participants are encouraged to set up working displays and demonstrations. =20

Friday will be devoted to equipment setup and display, operating events, and=
=20

informal get-togethers on the Museum grounds.  Special activities will=20

include heliograph and signal light demonstrations and six meter fox hunts.=20=
=20

One or more formal technical presentations may also be scheduled for this=20

day.  Saturday morning 0600 - 1000 has been set aside for those wishing to=20

trade and sell parts and equipment and lunch will be served 1100 - 1200.

For Saturday afternoon we plan to mount a field exercise involving a=20

multi-mode base station at Ft. MacArthur, several outstations at selected=20

locations in the surrounding area, remote participants (Bay area, etc.) and=20

roving =E2=80=9Ctactical" teams of 2 or more participants.=20
