I understand and respect your concern, but as high bidder you
are obligated to pay for the item at the agreed price.
Any failure to deliver is a separate matter.
It is important to consider from whom you are buying
before you bid. Once you have bid, you enter a contract,
be the seller Satan himself. My advice is to send the
money in a traceable fashion- USPS Money Order, Certified
with return receipt. Any attempt by him to wiggle out
then becomes mail fraud and is actionable.
This way, you have fulfilled your end of the contract,
leaving any wrong entirely in his lap.
Kindly,
David S.
