Message-ID: <011b01da8507$903d6960$b0b83c20$@rochester.rr.com> Hi guys it's been while. I was just wondering how easy is it to set up radios so that they can be programmed in the field? A while back I came across a YouTube video where someone was field programming an old XTS-5000 and I think it may have been a model II. They were using the keys to point to the numbers they wanted to use to program the radio. I would imagine that with a model III with the full keypad you can type in what you want? Before the video, I had always been under the impression that they couldn't be programmed from the field at all.
