What JU-1 does, in the 120VAC configuration, is to parallel the two 120VAC primary windings. In theory, the power supply will work with only one of the 120VAC windings connected, but with only one windingbeing fed, the rating of the transformer is decreased.?? I checked power draw by the unit with only one winding and then with the jumper in place, two windings in parallel, and the VA is the same. Is there any reason to believe Motorola shipped these units for 120VAC without the jumper in place? Inquiring minds. 73 SheldonWA4MZZ
