[Motorola] Update on old Motorola low band xmitr/Rec

Hello Group,

I took a look at the poor remains of the xmitr/Rec pair. 

The transmitter chassis is a [FMT - 50D ] Serial # 6961

The receiver is a [PA 824? ] Serial # 801D

Too bad the chassis have been exposed to the weather! The previous owner had fabricated wooden covers for both chassis. Not much left to save, except perhaps the transformers.

And, yes, the xmitter had been modified with 6146 PA tubes (2).

I did not realize that this type (Separate r / t ) came in 115 vac option. This transmitter is wired for 115vac, and uses two 3B25 rectifiers. I guess most of the radio set is going to be landfill........
