Message-ID: <1ad46d94-f670-99dd-5424-181d79bfb223@att.net> One of these just showed up. It is basically a Motorola HT-200, low band, in a light grey case, so I am assuming it's Navy. It looks like the civilian manuals will be enough to cover the radio, but would like to find a real AN/PRC-97 manual or copy. Also, there is a faded sticker on the back that says: ?ALIDA/FD SECAS Knowing the Navy's fondness for acronyms and the like, anyone have an idea what this means? Obviously it concerns a Fire Department. One of the differences in the military vs civilian radios is the built in battery charger. One other curiosity question. Did the Motorola HT-220 ever carry an AN/PRC designation? If there was a year marking it has faded away entirely. Thanks for the replies. I wish ICM was still in business, I'd be ordering rocks for 29.6 for this unit, it is currently on 34.2. Does anyone have any experience with ordering crystals from Bomar? Wondering if they are as easy to deal with as ICM. Jack Antonio WA7DIA
