[Motorola] Questions about RT and RA base stations

The following deals with Micor base stations,
unified chassis control shelves.

How would Motorola interconnect two stations back to
back? What I'm thinking of is an RT and an RA.

(Think of a UHF to 6 Meter remote base).

I can see how the PTT interconnection would take
place using TB-3 on the chassis, but how is audio
done? Is it as simple as tying the two un-notched
mic hi connections on TB-3 together, or would the line
driver modules be involved somehow?

At this point I'm not too concerned about control
functions such as set-up, knockdown, frequency or PL selects, just
basic operation.

I can certainly figure out a way to do this, but
I'd like to know what the "official" method would
be.
