[Motorola] HT600 Programming Questions

I am going to reveal my ignorance so please be patient.
 
I am in the process of acquiring an HT600 to use of 450 and would like to do the 
programming.  

 
I need suggestions on a RIB, software and cable else I’ll need for the job.  
I’ve seen plenty on ePay but I question their validity.
 
Please keep in mind I’m an IT professional and not even close to being a 2way 
tech.  But I’m trying (may need a retirement job soon).
