[Motorola] Quantar mixed-mode and wireline control?

The Quantar does not have a D to A converter for decoding P-25 to analog audio and sending it out the wireline ports.

That is done via the DIU3000 unit.

You can run the Quantar in mixed mode and analog will go down the wireline but the P25 will only be a buzz if anything at all is heard of the p25.

Goto a control station rather than the wireline and you get both worlds.

Subject: [Motorola] Quantar mixed-mode and wireline control?
Date: Thu, 3 Mar 2011 07:00:14 -0800

Greetings-

Is it possible to keep a Quantar repeater operating on standard, 2-wire
control, while converting the repeater to mixed-mode (passes analog and
digital)?

Thanks-

J.
