Sure - swap the entire RF section out for a 900 section, replace the filters
so you can actually hear in the ham bands, and hack the codeplug so the
radio will program and work there.

In short, 800 Spectras are useless except for chassis and plastic.

Subject: [Motorola] Spectra 860 MHz

A Spectra D45KMA7JA7AK followed me home from the Shelby hamfest.
It appears complete less the front panel.
The radio is currently programmed (at least by the tag) to receive
860.7675 and transmit 815.7625 and 860.7625 MHz.
The date on the tag is Jul 31, 89.
It has options W496BA, W432AA, W71AR and W70BE installed.
Can this radio be moved to 900 MHz hamband?
Or do I have parts?

Thanks
73
