Why would you even bother doing that?  Every board in the radio that has anything to do with RF would 
have to be changed out.  You would be better off trying to find a used radio that was complete.  
It would probably be cheaper, much less labor involved and would work when you got it.   You would 
even have to change the transmitter output filter.

Not the best idea on how to spend your time.  But then, you may not have anything better to do.
