[Motorola] UHF Radius M1225

I am in need of remedial help in understanding what it will take to put a
UHF 40w Radius mobile on the 440 ham band.  The model number is
M44DGC98J2AA.  Hopefully it isn't too cumbersome or expensive for a
reasonably competent ham.  Clearly I am a novice here.
