You would need to have a comparator and have the two rcvrs connected to the comparator so they could "vote."

Subject: [Motorola] Quantar Cross-band repeating?
Quantarists-
I've heard that the Quantar supports two receivers; and was thinking of
using dual receivers as a means of cross-banding one VHF and one UHF
repeater (both mixed-mode). The repeaters will be in different sites,
and no copper or microwave between the sites.
One vendor tells me that this will not work because only one receiver
will work at a time; that power to either receiver is toggled off and
on.
This idea seemed "cleaner" than patching Astro VHF and UHF mobiles
together. What I was hoping for is to have both Quantar receivers on,
with valid signal and PL/NAC on the primary receiver over-riding the
secondary receiver.
Has anyone been there, done that?
Thanks,
Jay
