Several points.
1) If the scanners aren't working, why don't you get that part fixed?
Outside antennas, correct programming, and amplified speakers should
be WAY less expensive than a real radio.
And no monthly cost like you mention.
2) Looks like a pretty complicated system [Valley Comm]. A mixture of
simulcast and intelli-peaters.
Do you have the necessary knowledge/skills/abilities to program such a system?
3) Do you have access to the system key? You'll need that to program
the trunked system parameters.
And a LEGAL copy of the software [not cheap]
4) To w0web--- Do your radios work without registering? And on a
system similar to the one I describe above?
