You have a Windows version of the software.
The answer to your out of range frequency is how far out are you trying to go? The Astro Spectra will complain, but take some out of range
frequencies. I have entered in some frequencies as far as 1.5 MHz out of it's normal window.
You should be careful programming these radios if your not use to the software and what you can do or mess up on how the radio plays.
