[Motorola] Astro Spectra VHF Range 2 to Range 1

The radio may say 136 - 174 mHz, but in most cases there are several "Ranges" within that fx. spread, unless the unit is really broadband!(Like the Bendix-King PRC-127 HT).
To which branch or MARS are you applying? I have been in AFMARS for 23 yrs., and am a member of the McChord AFB Base Support Team. (I do not think MARS will be going to narrow band!!)
